Caz Novak Auction
Back in 2001 Caz Novak was invited to provide one of the auction paintings for the National Art Exhibition and her painting “Wild French Poppy” sold at auction bringing in the top price of the night. This year we are celebrating the 30th anniversary of this great event and we are delighted to have Caz provide the sole auction painting for our Opening Night Gala.
Caz Novak has painted a work especially for the event from her popular Pacifica Series, Pacifica – New Chums Beach.
“Coromandel’s Wainuiototo (New Chum’s Beach) is a stunning example of unspoilt coastline. A truly special place, that on visiting, I felt compelled to photograph and paint. As New Zealanders we have a strong affinity to both our coastal waters and the iconic native plants that are part of that natural environment. The Pacifica series celebrates this beauty and acknowledges the significance such places have in our lives.”
Recognised for her impasto paintwork and vibrant use of colour, Caz’s paintings are held in private collections in New Zealand, Australia, United States, Europe, Brunei, China and the U.K. More of Caz Novak’s work can be viewed on her website, www.caznovak.co.nz

- Searle Travel Taradale from the 16th to the 22nd of May.
- Manchester Unity bank Emerson st from the 23rd to the 29th of May.
- Westpac Bank Havelock North from the 30th May to the 7th of June.
